POWER. JUSTICE. FREEDOM
The Advancement Project National Office is a multi-racial civil rights organization focused on systemic change. They partnered with Custom Ink to launch a t-shirt fundraiser centered on the message “Power. Justice. Freedom.” Our Diversity and Belonging Director brought in the creative team to elevate the project from a basic merch listing to a full campaign. I led the t-shirt design, blog and email graphics, art direction for product photography, and assets for organic social. The campaign raised $9K in two weeks, with proceeds going directly to their grassroots initiatives.
The ask came through our standard sales channel, but once it was flagged as a high-impact opportunity, our team jumped in. I collaborated with our DEI lead and the Advancement Project’s comms team to make sure the visuals and messaging felt aligned with their values, not just our brand. I pulled in their existing language and social content to make the campaign feel authentic, then built assets designed for clarity, consistency, and action.

- Intentionality matters — from typography to messaging, every detail affected how the campaign landed.
- Partnership is powerful — we didn’t take over, we amplified their voice with the tools we had.
- Design can drive action — creative wasn’t just for aesthetics, it directly contributed to visibility and fundraising success.
The campaign raised $9K in two weeks and earned our team the Digital Diversity award internally.
